Glory Ashford

A Voice Forged in Worship

Glory Ashford's journey with music began long before she ever stood before a congregation. From her earliest years, she sang — finding her voice in the church, learning to lead others into the presence of God.

Her path was not one of sudden arrival. It was shaped in the background, in the unseen moments: serving in worship teams, learning from those who had gone before, and offering her voice as a support to others.

Prepared for This Moment

Glory served as a background vocalist on live recordings, working alongside respected music ministers including Enock Mwenyi. These seasons taught her that worship was not about being seen — it was about being faithful.

For years, her voice was part of a larger sound — blending with others, supporting worship leaders and music ministers in live recordings. Those seasons prepared her. They taught her the discipline of worship, the importance of serving the song, and the patience to wait for her own moment.

Leading at Trinity Chapel

Today, Glory leads worship at Trinity Chapel Ruiru, where her first live recording, Salt and Light, will be captured. The same sanctuary where she now guides the congregation in worship will hold the sound of her own songs — a full-circle moment in her journey.

There is a deep significance to this: a space that has shaped her faith and her voice, now serving as the place where her own music is brought to life.

Her Heart for Worship

Worship, for Glory, has never been about the stage. It is about the posture of the heart — a conviction formed through years of serving behind the scenes before ever stepping into the spotlight.

She does not sing for recognition. She sings so that others might encounter Jesus through music — a sound that carries His presence, a voice that invites listeners into worship. Her music rejoices in the One it was made for.

Salt and Light is her moment — but it is not about her. It is an offering.

“This is not about me. It is about Him.”
